​​About Dr. Keith Petrosky

Dr. Keith Petrosky is Board Certified by the American Board of Medical Psychology. He is a member of the National Alliance of Professional Psychology Providers and for many years has been a Fellow of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association as well as the Academy of Medical Psychology. The National Alliance represents doctoral level practitioners with the most advanced level of training.  Dr. Petrosky was appointed to the Advisory Board of the National Alliance in 2013. 

The ABMP board certification is the most rigorous credential offered to professional psychologists practicing at the doctoral level and requires a Diplomate in Psychopharmacology and related sciences, a year long preceptorship, a rigorous written examination, and an oral examination by three professionals representing this board.

The National Alliance conducts continuing education training for its members and provides up-to-date information about every possible area of psychological practice though its online publications such as the Clinical Practitioner. Dr. Petrosky is a regular contributor to this online journal. If Dr. Petrosky needs additional information about any topic pertaining to a particular patient he can access help from NAPPP's online resources or post a message on their website and receive immediate help from distinguished colleagues all across the country.

Dr. Petrosky is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and did his doctoral studies at Temple University.   His graduate program and clinical internship  training were approved by the American   Psychological Association.

Dr. Petrosky holds a number of Diplomates in recognition of his extensive post-graduate training, including one in Advanced Practice Psychology, several in Psychopharmacology, one in Medical Psychology and one in Biofeedback Therapy. He also is trained in hypnosis through the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

He has extensive training both with children and adults. He did his doctoral dissertation on depression in children. He is also extensively trained in work with couples and families.
